What is Covered in a Home Inspection?


As an InterNACHI member, I must adhere to InterNACHI’s Standards of Practice. This means I will attempt to inspect all of the following (when accessible):

• Attic Insulation and Ventilation 

• Gutters and downspouts

• Windows and Doors

• Basement, foundation and crawlspace

• Water penetration and foundation movement

• Drainage sump pumps with accessible floats

• Main water shut-off valves

• Electrical panels, breakers and fuses

• Electrical service line and meter box

• Electrical bonding, grounding, GFCIs and AFCIs

• HVAC systems

• Fireplace dampers, doors and hearth systems

• Bathrooms

• Bedrooms

• Interior areas

• Kitchen

• Laundry
